Reablement Care Support Workers – London Borough of Merton
12 hour shifts

Are you looking for a new challenge with a company that will value you? Then join us as part of our Reablement team, working to get people out of hospital and playing a major part in their reablement journey, supporting clients to achieve their goals.

We are creating a team of high-calibre, experienced Support Workers to provide reablement support services in the London Borough of Merton.

You will be responsible for the provision of a range of care and support services to clients in their own homes. This will involve a 12-hour shift and could include days or nights (waking nights)

This role is primarily open to those with experience. Most importantly, you will be empathetic, with a genuine interest in the care of clients.

Responsibilities

· Supporting people and helping them relearn skills and regain their independence

· Motivating clients to achieve the goals they have set

· Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting

· Daily reporting and working with office-based members of the reablement team

The ideal candidates will have:

· Availability to work 12-hour shifts (which will include days, nights and weekends)

· Fluent English (both written and spoken)

· Good communication and interpersonal skills (as you will be communicating with a multi-disciplinary team)

· A team-player attitude and be a joy to work with

· A real desire to work as a Support Worker and have a caring nature

· Car drivers with their own car are preferred but not essential

· Availability to work weekends, when required, according to the team’s shift patterns

· A sensitive and tactful approach

· A natural desire to help improve clients’ lives

· Patience, empathy and a good sense of humour

· To remain calm and focused, even when under pressure

· A respect for others, friendly personality and a real passion to help people relearn skills
